My\u00a0bond with Britney Spears:<\/p>\n

1. \u00a0Britney has had her fair share of ups and downs. \u00a0My blood sugar also has had (and continues to have) its ups\u00a0& downs.<\/p>\n

2. \u00a0Britney is currently performing on “The Strip”. \u00a0I happen to find test strips EVERYWHERE.<\/p>\n

3. \u00a0Britney and I were both child brides.<\/p>\n

\"Brit<\/p>\n

4. \u00a0We have both rocked bunny ears (my grandmother made mine. \u00a0Not so sure about hers).<\/p>\n

5. \u00a0I have a Yorkie. \u00a0Brit Brit also has a Yorkie (I think I look a bit happier with my little guy though).<\/p>\n

6. \u00a0Brit knows\u00a0Michael Strahan. \u00a0I explained Continuous Glucose Monitors to Michael Strahan (and we participated in an incredible JDRF’s Fund-A-Cure together…. “Gimme, Gimme More”).<\/p>\n

7. \u00a0Britney was married to a prick. \u00a0I have to “prick” my finger multiple times a day (please note: I did not come up with this one myself. \u00a0My friend M did and I laughed myself silly, said I could never use it in this post, and yet here it is, lucky #7).<\/p>\n

8. \u00a0Biker Babes (Britney looks cute, I will be THE\u00a0sweaty mess of all messes after my 100 mile JDRF ride… Oh My God what have I gotten myself into??? \u00a0Anything to cure T1D right?).<\/p>\n

9. \u00a0Britney and I both like our bedazzling (I tend to limit mine to arm Dexcom sites… most of the time).<\/p>\n

10. \u00a0Britney Spears wears pumps. \u00a0I wear a pump too (slightly different version).<\/p>\n

11. \u00a0Britney shaved her hair extensions off\u00a0her head. \u00a0I briefly had extensions, they were a nightmare (hurt and would pop off). \u00a0I get the head shaving Brit, believe me, we all need a break sometimes.<\/p>\n

12. \u00a0This is the most important one. \u00a0Ready? \u00a0Britney will be on stage in Las Vegas on February 28th… I will ALSO\u00a0be in Vegas on February 28th but instead of singing, I will be speaking on a stage (although if need be, I’m willing to sing\/maybe rap. \u00a0I’m not opposed to dancing but really my moves are pretty much weak break dancing). \u00a0I am THRILLED<\/strong> to be the opening speaker at JDRF Nevada’s Type One Nation Summit In Vegas! \u00a0I am so honored to be able to share what it’s like to participate in a diabetes clinical trial, my Artificial Pancreas experience and some other insights, but wait until you see all the incredible presentations (and presenters) involved! \u00a0Check this out! \u00a0TypeOneNation Nevada Summit agenda<\/a><\/p>\n
