{"id":1611,"date":"2016-03-14T11:35:55","date_gmt":"2016-03-14T15:35:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.surfacefine.com\/?p=1611"},"modified":"2016-03-14T11:35:55","modified_gmt":"2016-03-14T15:35:55","slug":"advocacy-today-%e2%80%aa%e2%80%8ejdrfgovday%e2%80%ac","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.surfacefine.com\/?p=1611","title":{"rendered":"Advocacy TODAY. \u00a0\u202a#\u200eJDRFGovDay\u202c"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today is a big day.<\/p>\n<p>More than 170 JDRF Advocates are currently (today and tomorrow) meeting with\u00a0Members of Congress in Washington DC to support the &#8216;Medicare CGM Access Act&#8217; (H.R.1427 and S. 804). \u00a0To deprive seniors of CGM\u00a0technology can have\u00a0devastating results\u00a0<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">and is financially costly. <strong>Medicare does not consider CGMs to be &#8216;medical&#8217; necessity<\/strong>. This legislation isn\u2019t just for our seniors however \u2013 <strong>it will in fact benefit everyone<\/strong> \u2013 by helping to pave the way for reimbursement of next-generation artificial pancreas technologies when made available.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Make a difference today:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www2.jdrf.org\/site\/R?i=b74QFNMlCZtjd1avL-PHvA\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Email your Senators<\/strong><\/a>. This form asks your Senators to co-sponsor S. 804, the \u2018Medicare CGM Access Act.\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www2.jdrf.org\/site\/R?i=ETnJ8D18bOrqdgh_uDjpow\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Email your Representative<\/strong><\/a>.
