I recently read that the quote below can NOT be verified as a quote from Mark Twain. I don’t much care who said it, I just like it.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
Mark Twain (1835-1910);
This is so true, and I’m regretting things I didn’t do when I was young and single and had the time. I wish I went on to graduate school which would give me more career options than I have now.
I also wish I’d learned to play the piano.
I have a bunch too but I also like it in the sense of creating new opportunities and dreams… The last 20 are gone but there’s the next 20 yet to be explored!
Love the quote … So true … And instead of looking back with regret look to the future with excited anticipation!
Love it.
Thanks! 20 years from now I will be dead, so I damned well better get busy!
